Well, folks who are familiar with antique runners , are well aware that when it comes to long runners, it will become a very difficult task to fine one. Why? Because lond runners were made in a small numbers compared to the shirter ones.+
The runner that I am offering here, it gas been a part of my private collection because this beauty speaks for it looks, therefore, does not need any description. This pattern is called 'gol farang" gol means flower and farang means foreign, the reason is called that because this is a french or victorian influence that came to persia and armenian weavers in late 1800. You mostly see this pattern in Persian bidjars, seneh, and afshars but armenian did it in karabagh, which black ground karabagh are highly demanded in today's market. This is the first time that I see this pattern on a long hallway runner with this type of color combination. It is made of wool on wool, amazingly is iin very good condition with both ends are intact. It measures 3'-6" x 16'-10" to be exact. An unusual piece such as this one at this size, condition, pattern and color combination could have a very juicy price tag, if saw like between 8k to 10 k don't be surprised because is well worth it. But now here you have a golden opportunity to start owning this second to none piece at the bargain price because is offered at only $3,399.00
