Large hand-painted Austrian porcelain bowl on stand. This hand painted bowl is beautiful, delicately painted porcelain. It is almost ethereal in the colors and masterful execution of the design, details and blending. It is 14-1/2” diameter, 6-1/4” high and including 3” high matching stand, it is overall 9-1/4” high. The stand has 4 gilded paw feet below acanthus leaf mounts. Stand is 9” wide overall. Mark is “Vienna Austria” under a crown, and also “K E A 1901”. (See photos). Interior of bowl is also hand painted and edged with gold on rim. Excellent condition Minor losses to gilding. The photos do not do it justice.
There is evidence of a very old repaired crack on the stand which was present when purchased in the 1950’s.
