Each glass stands approximately 8.5 inches tall while holding only about 2 ounces. The small-capacity bowls combined with the elongated stems are consistent with antique sherry stemware, giving the glasses an unusually graceful and dramatic silhouette.

The clear glass bowls are individually decorated with finely wheel-cut butterflies and botanical details. The delicate engraving contrasts beautifully with the spare, elongated form of the stems, while subtle variations among the glasses reflect their hand-blown and hand-finished construction.

The precise maker and country of origin have not been identified. The proportions, construction and engraved decoration are consistent with late 19th- to early 20th-century Continental glass, and the set is conservatively dated circa 1880–1910 rather than attributed to a specific glasshouse.

Previously associated with Moser, the glasses are unsigned and no documentation confirming a Moser attribution has been found. They are therefore offered without a speculative maker attribution.

The survival of six matching antique examples is particularly appealing, and their extraordinary proportions make the set as decorative as it is functional. Beautiful displayed on a bar or dining table and especially appealing to collectors of unusual antique stemware.
