Make a statement in your home by placing this important antique mirror over a mantel or a chest. Crafted in France circa 1730, during the reign of King Louis XIV, the elegant mirror is an elaborate carved and pierced frieze. The mirror features a carved cherub figure beneath a stylized rocaille frame. The lattice ground is graced by scrolling acanthus leaves and C-curves. The original, rectangular mercury glass is framed by twisting ribbon borders. The large mirror is in excellent condition and has a rich patinated gilt finish.
