Offering a gorgeous hand painted "Famille Rose" vintage Chinese porcelain ginger jar with an iron-red Qing Dynasty style symbol. The Qing dynasty ended in 1912, but sometimes these symbols were also used for later pieces. Most likely this jar dates Early to Mid-20th Century as you can ses the heavy glazes, color variations and lots of "black spotting". common to older pieces. Also, the lid is original to the jar but it is darker and grayer, most likely caused by a different firing level in an adjacent kiln. These older jars were all hand painted and manufactured a lot differently than the Chinese imports from the Nixon years in the 1970s.
It has a wonderful lavender background color with large bug-eyed goldfish, ducks, dragonflies, pink and light blue lotus flowers and lily pads. There is a traditional "Ruji Head" border at the top part of the jar and a "Lappet" border at the bottom of the jar, both done in hand painted heavy and thick glazes.... please see details of the close-up photos of the borders and you can really see the heavy glaze.
EXCELLENT CONDITION........No chips, No cracks. The new owner will be very happy about the condition of this vintage jar.

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
