Blackened steel table lamp with amber mica paneling. Antique black patina finish with bronze accents. The idea for this lamp came to me during a recent trip to San Francisco. I had the pleasure of visiting the young Museum and its collection of Californian arts and crafts. In particular the very inspiring works of Dick Van Erp in copper and mica. This cute little lamp has resolutely contemporary lines although it does have a strong vintage feel.
Too often do we forget of the richness of American arts and crafts and its local regional variations.
It is nothing more than the American cultural "terroir".
