Sans Titre is an etching and aquatint on paper, realized in November 1960 by the French burin master Louis-René Berge. Signed and dated in black ink on the lower left margin. with fresh impression and an incredible draftsmanship this print, represents an abstract composition of excellent condition. 68.2x51 cm. Louis-René Berge (Caudéran, 1927 - Paris, 2013),was a French engraver, member of the Academy of Fine Arts. Self-taught, he began to engrave in 1960 and his first works were noticed by Jacques Villon and Pierre Guastalla. He devoted himself definitively to engraving with a chisel around 1975 and then exhibited in salons (Salon d'automne, Réalités nouvelles, etc.), at Biren and Michèle Broutta galleries, and participated in the activities of engraving companies. In 2005, Louis-René Berge was elected to the Academy of Fine Arts in the chair engraving section number III. Defender of the art of printmaking - in particular at the Academy, Louis-René Berge was co-founder in 2004 of Manifestampe, an association seeking to federate the various companies interested in the subject. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
