Made by the W. & S. Blackinton Co. of Meriden, CT in the late 19th century.

The center is bezel set with an emerald-cut purple glass stone and surrounded with gold filled leaf work.

The veined leaves are bunched in groups, and each group itself has a very small purple glass stone set at its center.

It is engraved to the reverse with a period monogram MDC.

A wonderfully sophisticated Victorian era bracelet!
