A fine Mexican sterling silver box.
With a malachite cabochon to the lid surrounded by silver knops.
The rim of the lid is braided, and the side of the body is decorated with knops throughout.
The box stands on 4 small knop shaped feet.
Marked to the bottom for Mexico / TJ - 74 / 925.

It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
There is a liver sulfur patination to the body that is over polished in spots. The lid is slightly heavier than the base and makes the box a bit tippy when open. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Marked to the base for Mexico / TJ - 74 / 925.
