Bronze sculpture created by Tommaso Cascella and his wife. 20x12 cm. Work signed with felt-tip pen inside the left paw. Good conditions. Tommaso Cascella (1890–1968) was an Italian painter, known for brightly colored landscapes and bronze sculptures. He was born in Ortona in the Abruzzo. In 1904 he entered the D'Annunzio circle with Basilio, his family member and in these years he created works for the poet,intended forthe volume "La Pescara di G. D'Annunzio", which was published in 1905. He made his debut in 1906 with the National exhibition of Fine Arts in Milan, exhibiting 42 works with regional subjects, which were then brought to Florence and Rome. In Florence he setup the exhibition "Artistic family". In 1907 he participated in the "Exposition of Italian artists in Florence", in 1908 at the National exhibition of Rome, in 1909 at Salon D'atomne , Paris. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
