Good morning noon Orland‘s in 1924, Donald began his career as a painter after returning to New Orleans following his service in World War II. For a time, he worked up as a police sketch artist. In the 1960s, Donald barter the painting for a camera and a career changed followed.
Today we are looking at this watercolor from the early 1960s of New Orleans street scene. Framed in a gold Faux bambo frame.
Framed this measures 17 1/2 inches wide by 22 inches high. The watercolor it’s self measures 11 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches high.
Retailed at a high-end department store in Detroit, Hudson’s, no longer in business.
