A crystal apple figure by Steuben Glass, often used as a paperweight.
Originally designed by Angus McDougall in 1940, this art glass apple is hand produced and tooled by "shop" artisans– no two are exactly alike. Steuben Glass Works had a reputation for its material, design, and craftsmanship. They were known for having one of the clearest glass formulations in the world, and photos have been provided against various backgrounds and lighting to exhibit the clarity of this piece.
