A pair of silver plated French candelabras made into bouillotte lamps with new black metal shades. Bouillotte is a card game that became popular in France during the 18th & 19th centuries. In the past as candles would burn down one would use a key, where the shade connects the middle shaft, to lower the shade and allow the players to be free of glare. These silver plated lamps are beautiful showcasing a well patinated finish with touches of verdigris. They also feature repeating Neoclassical patterns, les perles, and 4 candelabra arms with faux wax candle covers. Recently rewired by a professional for the US using UL listed parts.
