The Treasure of the Loyal Vassals is an original modern artwork realized by Utagawa Kunisada II, in 1860. Woodcut print oban yokoe format, 1860. Signature: Ichijusai Kunisada ga. Publisher: Shibaya Senichi. Censored by Kinugasa and Murata. from the series "Kanadehon Chushingura" (The Treasure of the Loyal Vassals), fourth act. While Enya Hangan prepares for his seppuku, his loyal vassals outside try to hear his last words through the door, and Yuranosuke stops them from entering the room. Very good impression, tear at bottom centerfold, upper margin and corners a bit damaged, glued at upper corners This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
