This exceptionally beautiful and what we believe to be a very rare set of very stylish chairs is another one of our recent great finds. The flowing yet sleek design combined with the stylish black and chromed materials makes this set of dining chairs stand out from anything we ever saw. These chairs already have comfortable, cushion-like seats, but the spring (shown in image 5) makes them even more comfortable to use /sit on. Creating these marvelous, post modern era chairs on paper clearly is the work of one of the more famous designers (Torstein Flatoy), but we have at least as much respect for the makers who took on the job of actually manufacturing them. The design combined with the desired materials, in our view, must have made it a true challenge. Getting the stylish wooden back in the right shape when hardened and then perfectly connecting those pieces with the seperately hand-crafted chrome metal parts must have been extremely time consuming, but the result is simply marvelous. Also, because more than 40 years after they are still in very good condition and very desirable and wanted by interior designers around the world. These very good condition and very much ready to use (and enjoy) chairs will never fail to impress and in the right place they will lift the atmosphere like no contemporary chair ever could. See less
