Exceptional vintage c.1950's/60's brutalist art glass egg form sculpture, with an amazing applied glass decor featuring a woman's face on one side and resting lion on the other. The control and application of this piece is remarkable, and really speaks to the skill of the blower who made this piece.
It measures 7" in height and 5 1/4" in diameter at it's widest point. It was purchased from a central Florida estate, and we have been unable to attribute it to any glass artist I'm afraid, as it is unsigned and came without provenance.
It is in very good vintage condition as shown, with no chips or cracks that I can see. Could be lit from the interior if you so chose, or even from the base by placing it on a lighted pad. Either would produce remarkable results I suspect.
