A beautiful box with green and gold lid and base, ca. 19th century, Asia. Piece is glazed, with hand painted blue and white flower design. Gold leaf adorns the rim and lid, gold details on handle. Piece can be used to hold items on a bookshelf, credenza, sideboard, library, office, etc. Piece can also be used for a bar area to store candy/truffles. Demonstrated shown as jewelry box. Piece would make a nice gift. An Asian red stamp is shown on reverse.
