The handles are wrought iron and the banding and corners are hammered. There are protective iron caps on the upper corners and iron banding front to back. The bottom features small wheels.

This chest is in rough original shape and its condition reflects years of use. The molding at the bottom is in poor shape, as shown in the photos. There is staining on the interior bottom. The chain is a replacement.
