This ladle is stamped Pat’d Sep. 7, 1880 which, after researching the patent mark, reveals that it was produced by the Whiting Mfg. Co. of New York on or after 1880. The pattern is “Keystone.” The ladle features a simple elliptical bowl with a keystone design with an acorn centered on the handle.
This ladle shows scoring and some pitting and other wear consistent with age and use.
