Documented vintage Noritake figural lusterware inkwell, hand painted and marked with the Noritake “M in wreath” stamp, Made in Japan.
This piece is illustrated in a Japanese Noritake reference catalog and identified as Inkwell No. 22, with original catalog dimensions listed as approximately 11 cm high by 8.5 cm wide.
The figural seated woman finial and iridescent luster glaze are characteristic of Noritake’s early decorative desk accessories, produced primarily in the first half of the 20th century.
A rare and collectible form, suitable for Noritake collectors, Asian decorative arts collections, or refined desk and library display.
