Oil on linen panel
A small but powerful set of abstract compositions by contemporary British artist Lloyd Durling, painted with oil onto linen panel. Each one signed, titled and dated on reverse.
Central to these paintings are an intense engagement with oil stick and graphite on linen that explore the interface between painting, drawing and collage. There is a balance between expressive play and tight control and with this comes an expanse of associations that push beyond simple categorisations of abstraction or scale. The information in each painting, given by gesture or mark, is reduced to a fleeting register on the surface, as if each mark has to count.
All paintings and frames in excellent condition. Each one of these is a one-off unique hand painted piece, so the set of 4 will be available until any one of the pieces is purchased individually. If you prefer to buy an individual piece, you can do so here.
Lloyd Durling is a British artist working in London. His practice is painting-based and he has exhibited widely throughout Europe, U.S.A and Asia. In 2017 he was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant. Works are held in both public and private collections worldwide.

Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).
- On approved returns, the buyer is responsible for the full cost of return packing and shipping.
Cancellations
- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.

- Chairish Freight Delivery
