Circa late 19th century desk by Berkey & Gay. Solid mahogany with beautiful bobbin legs that were so popular and loved in that era, and as relevant today. Simple and clean lines, with those legs as its anchor focal point. Beautiful movement of the wood grain on the top shelf. A timeless and elegant piece.
In excellent antique condition. Solid and sturdy. Wear as expected, please see photos. The top plane shows some blemishes. They are superficial and a light sanding and coat of stain could easily remedy if desired. The left side of the shelf shows 3 very small drilled holes. Unsure if this perhaps had another small something attached? Again, a simple remedy to fill and camouflage.
