The face well cast with full cheeks, finely outlined mouth and pronounced lids hooding the slightly opened eyes below the arch of the brows, enlarged ears with elongated lobes, the forehead framed by curved line of the hair dressed in snail curls, all showing a benign expression, gilt losses and general wear to the surface consistent with the age and handling, remaining layer of mud-like modeling clay to the inner surface of the head, aged crack to the front of wooden stand, not tried to detach the statue from the stand, former private Brooklyn collection See less
