A danish icon, the "guldhøj" stool made by the danish designer poul hundevad in oak and a beautiful patinated cognac colored leather. Designed in 1958 after drawings of the original folding chair found in guldhøj, an old barrow in denmark. This masterpiece will complement many interior styles. A modern, classic, scandinavian or an art deco home decor. Story behind the original guldhoj stool: "the large barrow from the bronze age with the promising name of guldhøj (gold hill) in southern jutland was excavated in 1891. Among the objects in the barrow were an oak coffin containing the body of a man. At his feet lay a very unusual object – a folding chair! the fine little chair, which was very well preserved, was made of ash wood with carved patterns featuring black pitch inlay. The seat was of otter skin – but only a fragment is preserved. The folding chair has been dated to the second half of the 1400s bc. The folding chair from guldhøj is the only completely preserved chair from the bronze age in europe. However, several finds of fragments of folding chairs are known. These include finds from store høj in western jutland and other folding chair fragments from sweden and northern germany." this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,

- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final

Cancellations

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.
- Shipping charges start at $999 and vary based on the size, weight, packaging, and/or the value of the item.
- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
