Three pagodas are connected by bridges, surrounded by flowers and standing over a lake. The oversize nature and imaginary animals in vibrant polychromy create a dream-like landscape. This dish showcases remarkable details, from the different shapes of flowers to the precise design of the architecture and imaginative patterns filling the bridges. The edge is elegantly shaped and the lip features an exquisite frieze with floral and criss-cross patterns that are typical of mid-18th-century Rouen faience. See less
