Sabine's Snipe is a modern artwork realized in 1870 by the British artist Alexander Francis Lydon (1836-1917) . Woodcut print on ivory-colored paper. Hand-colored, published by London, Bell & Sons, 1870. The name of the bird is printed on the plate. This work is part of a print suite realized for F. O. Morris after drawings by Richard Alington, to create an inventory of British Birds. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
