The structure is entirely made … Read more Nasturzio is an eclectic space age umbrella stand hand-crafted in Italy in the late 60s.
The structure is entirely made of a bright orange lacquered wood. It is composed by 4 cylinders of different heights and a long handle that permits to easily move around the stand. Inside the wooden cylinders we find the aluminium ones that hold back the umbrella's water. They can be easily pulled out to remove the water if needed. This piece shows a black metal tag which says "Modello Depositato" which means "Registered Pattern". This umbrella stand is possibly a patent experimental project which is making this element even more unique.
It shows tiny signs of the time passed (see pic n°8) which are not compromising the beauty of this charming piece.
