Marianne Westman (1928-2017) was born in Falun in Central Sweden. In 1946 she began studying ceramics at the renowned University of Art, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. After graduating in 1950, Marianne was selected by the famous Rorstrand ceramic factory in Lidköping.

*In the 1960s, Westman expanded its offer to include art objects made of earthenware, chamotte and iron. The glazes were thick and complex, with iron flowers and coarse structures. The shapes were simple, the atmosphere rustic and yet elegant. This piece has an attribution mark,
