Tall polished brass … Read more This gorgeous pair of brass cranes was created by Thai sculptor Hattakitkosol Somchai (1934-2000); 'Cranes'; Edition 52/1000. Tall polished brass sculpture depicting a male and female crane each in grooming position with head tucked and standing on single leg, mounted on a weighted black fiberglass resin base. Approximate height 56 inches, circular base depth 15.5 inches. It in unclear how many of the edition were ever created, but it is believed to be substantially less than the total allotment, perhaps as few as 100.

Note: This piece has been fully and professionally refinished and restored to its original polished brass finish. Today, this process includes a final lacquer coating to the protect the shine. This sculpture is now fully protected and could certainly be enjoyed for another 50+ years! See less
