Wonderful trio of Zsolnay sculptures by Judit Nador in three incredible iridescent colors. The technique is called “eosine” which is a particular luster porcelain stoneware which produces a metallic effect. A wonderful example of her unique modernist or cubist style. The fish is 7.5 inches long x 4.5 inchest tall, the horse is 6.25 inches long by 5.75 inches tall, and the ram is 4.25 inches long x 6 inches tall. They are in perfect condition.
The Zsolnay ceramic factory was founded in 1852 by Ignác Zsolnay. The Zsolnay ceramics factory has produced some of the most beautiful and innovative artistic products in its field since the mid-19th century. Using imaginative techniques, this ambitious and creative factory, located in southwestern Hungary, has employed an extraordinarily wide range of styles in its work. Judit Nador joined the company and started designing in 1962.
