Gorgeous bouquet of hot pink roses arranged in a turquoise vase. The roses are in various states of blooming - there are small buds, flowers in full bloom, and some that have begun to fade. This is a beautiful symbol of the cycle of life. Memento mori, the inevitability of death, is a common artistic motif to portray in still life paintings via flower arrangements.
Artist was Lucy Rillous Carter of Texas (1909-1999). Signed "Rillous Carter" and contact information given on the back of the frame.
