Monochrome white glaze, smooth and glossy
Clearly marked at the base in blue with Wien Keramos shield and banner mark and the words "Made in Austria". An incised number 5465 indicates the pattern
KERAMOS: WIENER KUNST-KERAMIK und PORZELLANMANUFAKTUR AG, was a Viennese art pottery ceramic and porcelain manufacture founded in 1910 by several disabled ex-service man, initially supported financially by the State of Austria . In 1932 the company engaged more than 50 employees and they took over a large assortment of models by the sculptor Eduard Klablena and several designs of the Wiener Werkstätte. The firm manufactured luxury items, figurines, lamps, vases and trinket boxes, and won a silver medal prize at the Art Exhibition in Paris in 1925. Keramos functioned until 1982
