An original oil painting on artist's board by an unknown British artist (indistinctly signed) but dated 1927, "Nude in Shadow", 12" x 15 3/8", scene of a nude woman holding a drape across her legs, standing in front of a forest pool, a flowering tree to her right, indistinctly signed in the lower left corner front but dated 1927. CA number 3928, CA purchased summer of 2023 from a west of England auction house. The painting has been cleaned and varnished to protect the paint film.
It has been reframed in 2 1/2" antiqued silver traditional moulding. The moulding is antiqued and distressed.
In order to enjoy the painting's color in full it needs to be presented in full, clear light.
