The Folding Game Board is Genuine … Read more This Really is a Absolutely Beautiful Antique and Vintage Large Scale Chess Game Set. The Folding Game Board is Genuine Antique - Circa Mid 19th Century. It is Completely Hand Made with Fine Rosewood and Other Assorted Exotic Woods Marquetry - Inlay Work. It also has Solid Brass Hinges. NOTE That The 32 Game Pieces are Not Antique - Were Made in Late 20th Century. Each Game Piece is Completely and Individually Lathe Turned and Hand Carved Out of Fine Hardwood - Possibly Rosewood and Satin Wood. The Board Still Retains it Original Finish and is in Very Nice Condition with Wonderful Naturally Aged Color & Patina. The Complete Set is in Very Nice Condition and it Displays Beautifully. NOTE Also that Game Pieces are Heavy - Have Internally Weighted Bases.
