- Gouache on paper
- Artist Edward J. Hartmann (born in 1925) is a graduate of Harvard University and Philadelphia Museum School of Arts. He served in the Navy and worked as an art director and graphic designer for nearly 30 years. His artwork has been featured extensively in exhibitions across New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. This collection of vibrant studies speaks to the breadth of his oeuvre, which includes representational landscapes, illustration, and abstraction.
- A sophisticated color palette and expressive lines make this a standout, dreamlike beauty that would look striking in a range of interiors.
- This piece is signed “E. J. Hartmann, '65.” It has been newly matted and framed in natural oak under UV-resistant plexi. Please see our detailed photos.
