Designated a “Living National Treasure” in 1997, he is renowned for his stunningly vibrant hues and unique patterned glaze. This is a great example of Tokuda’s work. Similar works are found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo. See less
