Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006) was a Finnish sculptor and designer. After graduating from the Institute of Industrial Arts of Helsinki in 1948, he starts working for the Finnish firm Iittala as designer in 1950.
His collaboration with Venini begins in 1988 and in 1991 he designs the vase mod. 548.00, called "Kukinto", meaning "inflorescence" in Finnish language.
This "a fasce" vase was made in 1997 with five colours: transparent, ancient red, apple green, sapphire blue and dark ametista. This piece has an attribution mark,
