Crafted from a single stick of sumac wood, this vessel was handmade by artist Jim Lorriman in Murmur, Ontario. "Spirits". It was made in June of 2009. The pieces of sumac in it come from a single stick, and they are in sequential order. It is truly a museum-quality piece. As Jim describes on his website, the intricate patterns and the increasing number of rings add both beauty and risk to each creation, making this piece a testament to his skill and artistry. See less
