This piece can stand on it's own in a room but is also small enough to sit on top of a larger chest or drawers or counter top, or could serve as a child's or doll's dresser. The solid wood construction makes this a piece that will last for many more years and the reddish-brown paint bears the appearance of use but not abuse.
