The picture frame has been handcrafted by a silversmith - possibly a single appointment. The mechanics are complex.
It can be adjusted by a square pipe, which is led in a 2nd square tube, and can be locked with a screw. It can therefore be used for 2 sizes - the glass pane can be used horizontally or vertically.
The handling of the screw and the bracket for the folding mechanism have been decoratively chased.

The picture frame is stamped: Giardini, 925, "Stern", 132, ar. The assignment can be made by stamping the picture frame.

The glass pane is polished all -round, stable cardboard is inserted on the back.
