Dating back to the 1960s, this piece holds a remarkable provenance: it was originally made as a dowry rug and has been carefully preserved in a dowry chest, never used. This is a chance to acquire a piece of living history in pristine, new condition.
Artisanal Craftsmanship & Design
Obruk kilims are celebrated for their distinctive geometric motifs and exceptionally fine weave. This kilim showcases the iconic, intricate central medallion design and bold, repeating borders. The colors are derived entirely from natural, vegetable-based dyes, lending the palette a rich, organic depth that cannot be replicated with modern techniques. The meticulous craftsmanship of this flat-woven textile speaks to its heirloom quality and durability.
