Bowl created by noted contemporary Virginia ceramic artist, James Chalkley. Signed and dated, 1984. Chalkley has taught at several universities and has exhibited in numerous galleries.
Hand-thrown hexagonal off-white bowl with wavy raised rib details. Steam-bent custom bamboo handle. Coveted design makes a beautiful serving bowl or decorative accent. A rare find for Chalkley collectors. Bowl measures 8.75” in diameter at the points and 4.5” tall. Piece measures approximately 10.5” with the handle.
