Details:
-Pair German Mid-18th century carved, gilded and painted double-sided frames
-From Christie's South Kensington, London auction the Collection and Stock in Trade of Mr. Paul Levi (Part IX) on Thursday, May 8, 1997
-Frames are double-sided
-Pierced crestings with ribbons; top corners with flower-heads and scrolling foliage; lower corners with foliage; cavetto moldings; outer and inner edges with black-painted astragal moldings
-Each have a slot in the bottom which suggests they were placed on a stand.
-Approx. Dimensions: 14.5" x 16.5" x 1"
