For your consideration... a delightful discovery from the charming brocantes of Paris that captures all the joie de vivre of mid-century European design. This vibrant ensemble came home with us from a magical buying trip through the local village flea markets scattered throughout the City of Light—those intimate treasures hiding in plain sight while everyone else heads to the big markets outside the city.
What we found was pure Mid-Century glamour: three stunning chartreuse porcelain plates (c. 1950) that practically glow with that electric lime-green energy that defined the era's boldest design moments. These 8" plates showcase the period's love affair with color as pure emotion—vibrant, lively, and utterly confidence-inspiring.
Complementing them perfectly are what we believe to be Danish silver-plated serving pieces: three elegant two-tine forks and a pair of tongs that speak to Scandinavian design's clean lines and functional beauty. The marriage of French porcelain audacity with Danish silver restraint creates a dining experience that's both sophisticated and playfully unexpected.
This isn't just tableware—it's a conversation starter, a mood lifter, and a reminder that the best finds come from wandering the quiet corners of Paris while others chase the obvious. Shipped back to Vermont just before the tariffs kicked in, this set brings a bit of Left Bank sophistication to your table.
Perfect for desserts, canapés, or any occasion that calls for a splash of Continental flair and mid-century optimism.
Condition: Very good with minor wear consistent with age. Nothing significant—just the honest patina of pieces that have been loved and used.
