Colorful tembo stool - Note Design Studio Measures: Height 19 inches (low stool) or 30.3 inches (high stool) Diameter 14 inches Weight: 30.8 lbs (low stool) or 37.5 lbs (high stool) Materials and construction: Lacquered steel structure, solid wood (beech) and lacquered MDF, natural cork base. Tembo is a stool made of stacked pieces of wood, metal, and cork. This ‘modern TOTEM’ has a playful and bulky aspect recalling children’s toys and African tam-tam (Tembo means elephant foot in Swahili). Note Design Studio is a collective of architects, graphic and product designers Established in Sweden in 2008. They presented their first furniture pieces in 2010. Their style combines the elegant simplicity of Nordic design with a playful and almost naïve identity. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
