Art Deco nude figural compote by the Cambridge Glass Company, Cambridge, Ohio.
This piece is from the Crown Tuscan line. It was produced by Cambridge from approximately 1932 to 1954. It can range in color from light or pale pink to dark tan as well as ranging in depth from nearly translucent to opaque.
The piece we are offering has a beautiful shell design top surface which sits atop a lovely nude female with her arms up as if she is holding the shell.
The compote, or comport, measures approximately 6" in height. The shell dish measures approximately 5-1/4" in diameter. The scalloped edge of the shell is ribbed and nearly translucent, as are the nude's arms and the ends of her long sweeping hair.
