Excellent like new condition. Clean. No damage. This is a Talavera Mexican folk art decorative plate by the artisan family "Contreras."

This particular design is not very common, I couldn't find another one during my research. This is an estate purchase. It has holes for handing.

This is hand-made, hand-painted and signed by the artist. It is full of color.

The family is originally from Dolores Hidalgo in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico. They were one of the early pioneers of the Talvera-style ceramics in Dolores. They are dedicated to preserving this artisan technique.

The clay they use is extracted from the Sierra de Guanajuato and they use lead-free glazes.

Approx meas 11.5" dia; 2.5 lbs wt, prior to careful packaging.
