Blue and topaz Heiki vase, Pia Wüstenberg Dimensions: D 20-22 x H 32-40 Materials: glass, wood, metal wire Available in other colors. Inspired by a simple fix on an old sauna ladle handle, fixed with wire and outright everyday genius. Heiki (named after the man who invented the fix) are soft and bulbous vases, with a unique wooden handle, fixed onto the glass after it has cooled down. Heiki are blown without a mould: their outer rim is originally the inside of the glass bubble, thus their round and soft edges, characteristic of this artistic process. Handmade in Europe: freehand blown glass (England), handcrafted wood (Finland), brass wire (Germany). The materials then come to our warehouse in North Germany where they are fitted and assembled. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution
