A large conte crayon and charcoal drawing on paper of a kneeling figure reaching for a mysterious object. Prestwich often depicted muscular figures with a spiritual symbolist quality. The ochre, brown, paynes gray and black color palette give this a moody and ancient feeling. This work is probably circa 1970s or 80s. Nicely framed with a burlap liner frame layer. Unglazed.
