Jan Bocan for Czechoslovak Embassy in Stockholm, 1972. It was one of the last built in the Brutalist style. National factory TON, np. Drevopodnik Holes was commisioned to produce his designs using Thonet’s classic bentwood technique. Armchairs and tables were made using method of bent beech plywood. This particular set is veneered with walnut. Identical look and feel of original fabric was complemented by Gancedo, Terciopelo, 100% cotton, olive green color. Professionaly re-upholstered and restored. Frame was striped by hand, light repairs to veneer, all screw and blinds original and polished, frame hand sanded, stained to light walnut and coated with 10 layers of hard wax oil Osmo to velvety semi matte.
